Welcome to l'attente, a new Harry Potter RPG.

It was a dark and stormy night.

Ponderously heavy clouds hung low in the sky, blotting out the moon and stars, only to be briefly illuminated by flashes of lightening that were always followed by immediate rumbles of thunder that shook the very hills that nestled the large, sprawling castle that blazed from within with defiantly cheerful light from nearly every window.

The halls were empty; most of the students and teachers off doing what it is that they do during the evenings, while a handful others wandered about, getting into to trouble, scheming and in general hoping not to be caught by the ever-vigilant Filch. On the second floor, between two disused classrooms, a large wooden door suddenly appeared, shoving its neighbours out of the way before swinging open on its own accord to reveal a long table, set for fifteen. Five of the places had small placards before them, leaving the other ten open for future guests.

Suddenly, a scream rent the air, followed by a tooth-chattering crash. For a moment, there was utter silence as the storm paused as though shocked before resuming its fury with several more strikes of lightening in quick succession, illuminating the unmistakable form of a body sprawled across the front lawn of the school, arms and legs akimbo in an unnatural pose that only the dead can master.

From deep within the forest, something howled, the long note chilling the blood of all who heard it. The sanctity of Hogwarts, a place where so many had been safe for so long had been broken.

But how?
